Taylor Morrison just announced it plans to put 270 new homes in Telfair, the four-year-old master-planned community in Sugar Land. The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based builder bought 108 acres from Telfair developer Newland Communities for the project, which will be called Avalon at Telfair and cater to the high-end market. The homes will be built over the next three years and be priced from the high $400,000s to more than $1 million. Model home construction will begin next month with sales of homes on 70-, 80- and 90-foot home sites starting in March.
